Holiday Food and Gift Festival

Since 1994, The Oregon Hospice Association has been the beneficiary of the annual Holiday Food and Gift Festival, a 3-day holiday shopping (and eating) extravaganza! The upscale Festival is scheduled November 4-6, 2005 2-4, 2007 at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, and more than 200 vendors will be there to display unique gift items for show-goers getting a jump start on their holiday shopping.

The Oregon Hospice Association raises funds by organizing and running a silent auction and selling specially-designed hand crafted "Angel of Hospice" holiday ornaments. We also provide relief breaks to vendors at the show. This is an all-volunteer effort from the Oregon Hospice Association-we recruit as many as 30 volunteers each day to help with the various aspects of the show. It's lots of work, but it's lots of fun, as well. The Holiday Food and Gift Festival is a wonderful opportunity for OHA to meet new friends, learn about hospice care and share heart-warming stories with one another.

If you'd like to help the Oregon Hospice Association at the Holiday Food and Gift Festival, please contact us. We'd love to recruit volunteer groups from businesses, churches and other organizations to assist with the silent auction, Angel ornaments and vendor relief. We can also use help in procuring items for our silent auction. If you have a product or item you'd like to donate, please let us know. Auction items range in value anywhere between $5 and $1,500 and include anything from jewelry to restaurant gift certificates to electronic equipment to sporting goods--just about everything!
